Grant Writing

We are currently searching for an experienced Grant Writer. This volunteer will be primarily responsible for developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations to persuasively communicate FMF's mission and programs. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity and ways your talent can benefit FMF please contact Kari Vernon, Executive Director, at kari@familymentorfoundation.org or (614) 547-7737.

Gather & Give

Join us to fill and organize Buddy Bags and give back in a hands-on, meaningful way. Child-friendly for ages four and up; one adult for every three children. Please consider bringing a Buddy Bag item with you to the event. https://www.familymentorfoundation.org/most-needed-buddy-bag-items

BUDDY BAg DeliverY

Delivery is a critical piece of getting Buddy Bags into the hands of kids who need them. Are you able to help during the 2017-2018 school year? Needs: Volunteers to deliver Buddy Bags to four Columbus area schools. We meet at FMF to load the truck at 8:45 am and return to FMF at approximately 11:00 am.

Host a Food Drive

We go through cases of nonperishable food items that make up a Buddy Bag each month. Food drives, especially those targeted at our highest cost items, help us significantly offset costs.

Help feed hungry kids in our community by hosting a food drive at your work, school, community group, faith-based organization or neighborhood. You could even host a food drive at your Thanksgiving Dinner!
